SUMMARY:Full Day Workshop on NBFC – Accounting\, Audit and Regulatory Aspects (Physical Mode)
DESCRIPTION:\n\nNBFC’s are the recent trending topic of the town and past couple of years were fascinating for NBFCs in India. Despite the impact of the pandemic\, the NBFCs witnessed continued momentum and there have been significant increase in the loan disbursements expanding the loan books of the most companies. In the meanwhile\, the Reserve Bank of India has been tightening several regulations for NBFCs including\, introduction of Scale-based regulations and revised IRAC norms including clarification on daily NPAs and upgradation of NPA status.  For larger NBFCs that apply Ind AS\, financial reporting continues to be a significant matter. Although most of the complex issues have been by-and-large settled\, applying Ind AS (particularly ECL provisioning) amidst the current economic environment (geo-political scenario\, rising interest rates and inflation\, foreign exchange vagaries) involves several practical interpretative issues.   \nIn this backdrop\, we at CTC have organised a workshop to cover some of the key accounting and regulatory topics NBFCs are facing. \n  \n\nVenue : \n\nBabubhai Chinai Room (2nd Floor)\, IMC Building\, Churchgate\, Mumbai- 400 020\n \n\nThe details of the workshop are as follows: \n\n\n\nDate & Time\nTopic\nSpeaker\n\n\n10.12.2022\n \n9.30 am –\n10.00 am\nRegistration and Breakfast\n\n\n10:00 am –\n10:30 am\nOpening remarks \nAddress by Keynote Speaker\nPresident/Chairman\n \nMr. Bhavesh Vora\n\n\n \n10.30 am –\n12:15 pm\nExpected Credit Loss Provision\n -Accounting Aspects\n – Auditing Aspects\n(Possible coverage:\nAccounting – Calculation of EAD\, LGD\, PD\, Management Overlay\, Scenario analysis\, lifetime LGD\, various models in practice\, interaction with RBI IRAC provisions….\nAuditing – Audit procedures for the models\, scenario analysis\, inputs\, etc.)\nMr. Murtuza  Vajihi\n \n\n\n12.15 pm –\n2.00 pm\n \n \nEffective Interest Method\n – Accounting Aspects\n – Auditing Aspects\n(Possible coverage: Typical issues such as\, rebasing for variable rates like MCLR\, contractual life Vs. expected life\, etc.)\nOther Issues:\n – Repossessed assets – Classification as Held\n   for Sale\n – Deferred Tax\n – Securitisation / PTC/ Direct Assignments\nTypical disclosures deficiencies in NBFCs\n \nMr. Santosh Maller\n\n\n2.00 pm –\n2.30 pm\nLunch Break\n\n\n2.30 pm –\n3.45 pm\nScale based Regulations effective from 1 Oct 2022\nIRAC provision – daily NPA\, upgradation\, differential provisioning for standard assets for UL\, new RBI IT outsourcing regulations\, etc.\n \nMr. Kunal Mehta\n \n\n\n3.45 pm –\n4.00 pm\nTea Break\n\n\n4.00 pm –\n5.00 pm\nPanel Discussion amongst some eminent panel from industry – \n\nRegulatory challenges in meeting the heightened expectations of RBI \n  \n\n\nModerator : \n\nMr. Ashutosh Pednekar \n\nPanelist :\nMr. Rakesh Bhatia (CFO TATA Capital)\,\nMr. Rahul Joglekar\,\nMr. Gautam Shah \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nParticipation Fees :\nCTC Members : Rs. 2\,250/- + Rs. 405/- (GST) = Rs. 2\,655/-\nNon Members : Rs. 2\,750/- + Rs. 495/- (GST) = Rs. 3\,245/- \nParticipation Fees to be paid online on the website: CLICK HERE to make payment. \n\n
