DESCRIPTION:We are witnessing increase in number of notices served by Income Tax\, Profession tax\, GST department (including Notices for pre GST era). From all such notices\, the notice to conduct GST Audit by GST department in terms of Section 65 of CGST Act remains to be a critical one. \nThe GST department has initiated audit proceedings for F.Y. 2017-18 and F.Y. 2018-19. The first two years of GST implementation had undergone numerous changes and are full of unsettled issues (examples being RCM levy on URD purchases\, import ocean freight\, cross-charges\, etc) \nTo enlighten our members on this burning issue of facing GST department audit\, IDT Committee of CTC has organized a Study Circle Meeting on GST audit by “Department and issues there under."
