DESCRIPTION:The Faceless Appeal Scheme 2020 has been mired in litigation since its inception on 25th September\, 2020. During the hearing of the Lakshaya Budhiraja SLP\, the Additional Solicitor General of India requested the Supreme Court for a period of 3 months for modifying the Faceless Appeal Scheme\, 2020. \nMeeting this deadline\, the Central Board of Direct Taxes notified the Faceless Appeal Scheme 2021 on 28th December\, 2021 and brought fundamental changes in the implementation of the Faceless Appeal proceedings. \nSome key changes brought in by the Faceless Appeal Scheme\, 2021 were in respect of: \n\n\nConditions and requirements for granting personal hearing.\n\nRequirement to create a draft appeal order to be sent to the Appeal Unit for review for passing of Appellate Order.\n\nRemoval of Regional Faceless Appeal Centres.\n\nWith a view to understand the New Faceless Appeal Scheme\, 2021 \, Direct Taxes Committee of Chamber of Tax Consultants has organised a webinar as under: \n\n\n\nDate & Day  \n:\nFriday\, 28th January\, 2022 \n\n\nTime\n:\n6.00 PM to 7.30 PM\n\n\nTopic\n:\nFaceless Appeal Scheme 2021 – An Analysis\n\n\nSpeaker\n:\nAdv.
